# Collecting Customer Input

 * Hi,
 * In the documentation, you say : Sometimes you may need to collect input from 
   your customer for a particular product (eg. to engrave something). **Simply check
   the “Collect Customer Input” option for that product** and it will allow the 
   customer to enter some text similar to the following.
 * Where is this option ? I can’t find anything in the settings or anything else…

   order 3 items or more. Is there an option for that?

 * I’ve successfully used the “var1” and “var2” shortcode options to create drop-
   downs. However, how can I get user-defined text via a text-box? In addition to
   a few drop-downs, I would like to have three (3) text boxes.
