Hi, please bear with me while I explain this.
Basically, I’m using WordPress (2.8) as a content management system. I use the theme Ikarus, which I am very happy with. I was using an old version of the plugin “Collapsing Pages” with WP 2.7 (which no longer functions in 2.8). Unfortunately something in newer versions of this plugin (3.5 and newer) conflicts with something in the footer of the Ikarus theme and as the old version won’t work with WP 2.8, I can no longer use this plugin. I’m really struggling to find any answers.
When I enable the plugin, the footer breaks and all images disappear from it – what could cause this?
I deactivated all of my installed plugins to see if one of them were conflicting with it but there was no change. The theme itself loads a few plugins or attempts to load them if the user has them installed. Could that be the cause? How to I stop the theme from doing that? I tried contacting the theme owner too but have yet to receive a response. I’m doubtful as it’s been several months.
If nobody can pinpoint the reason for the footer breaking, can anyone suggest an alternative to this plugin? I plan on adding a lot of pages and subpages and I need something to keep the page navigation neat and tidy. Collapsing pages did an excellent job at this when I had it working but as I don’t plan to change my theme, I guess I have to change plugin. I’m surprised that there are not many around…I know I’m not the only one who uses WordPress as a CMS.
If anyone can help, I’d appreciate it so much!
