    Hello,

This plugin works fantastically well for the most part, thank you. The one snag I have, however, is that I’d like users with the role ‘Editor’ to be able to see the cogs in the front end to be able to edit.

This screenshot shows the view for a user with Admin level: https://eth.thegood.cloud/s/JQeE8qWD7FtKWpp

This one shows with Editor level: https://eth.thegood.cloud/s/KWBsrLG7nykjSyi

Notice the cogs are only visible to Admin.

I’ve tried installing the User Role Editor plugin but the only way to give an Editor permissions so they see the cogs is to give them full access to ‘Manage options’, which allows them to edit to much else in the back end (all of the Settings).

Is there any other way I can get a lower level role such as Editor the permission to edit the tournament?

    Cheers,
    Sam

    Hey Sam

I added this functionality per your request. Please update to the latest (1.3.0). You can then use User Role Editor and add the capability, manage_stb to any role. Thank you for the request!

If you have a moment, a quick review would mean a lot and helps other users discover the plugin. Thanks again!

Wow, thank you for such a quick response, Andrew!

I’ve updated the plugin and I now see a ‘Manage tournamatch’ option in User role editor. However, despite having checked it and clicked save for the Editor role, Editors can still not see the cog. In fact, I’ve just tested as admin as well and admin has now lost the ability to edit this way – cogs do not show up in the front end for admin either.

    Cheers,

    Sam

Apologies! I hadn’t added the manage_stb capability! I’ve now done that and both Editor and Admin can see the cogs. Review incoming 🙂
