  • I am using a child theme of the Codium Extend theme for my website. I want to add a sentence to the footer, and also centre it, as it seems to be aligned to the right (and goes off the edge of the page).

    Whenever I try and add anything to the ‘Proudly powered by WordPress and designed by code reduction’, it makes the whole site go blank until I go back into the stylesheet and change it back to the way it was.

    Is there an easy solution for this? This is the code:

    // footer link
    add_action('wp_footer', 'footer_link');
    function footer_link() {
    	$anchorthemeowner='<a href="" title="code reduction" target="blank">code reduction</a>';
      	$textfooter = __('Proudly powered by <a href="">WordPress</a> and designed by ', 'codium_extend' );
      	$content = '<div id="footerlink"><div class="alignright"><p>' .$textfooter. $anchorthemeowner.'</p></div><div class="clear"></div></div></div>';
      	echo $content;
