[Resolved] coding logo into style.css

  • Just redid my writing portfolio with the theme and am a big fan.

    Unfortunately, my web hosting has always been glitchy and I’m unable to upload files through the dashboard (I’ve given up trying to fix it and do manual uploads through a client). I’d like to use a logo, but because of this glitchy hosting I’m unable to upload a photo through the Customize page.

    Is there a way to code the logo image (with .jpg URL) directly into the style.css?

    I’d also like to ensure that this image is a background and still have the Site Title/Tagline text on top.

    yes you can add your logo via css.

    .site-title {
      font-size:0;
      background-image:url(your-logo-url.png);
      width: you-logo-width px;
      height: you-logo-height px;
      display:block;
    }

    I’s suggest to fix hosting issue or just move to better hosting.
