• Hi there,

I am extremely new to WordPress, though generally quite tech savvy and am currently trying to setup a property website.

For the site I am using SpotFinder theme and for the mobile site I am using WPTouch theme.

The WPTouch theme is great though is somewhat restricted for what I want to use it for.

The main problem is the header. It comes with a basic drop down menu button which is fine but I need the header to have a ‘filter’ button. I.e there will be a list of properties and I need to filter these in some way – something which WPTouch doesn’t allow me to do. I need to filter these properties on values – i.e. price, no. of bedrooms and so on.

    1. As an extremely new WordPress user do I even have a chance at being able to do something like this? I.e. how difficult would it be to add a filter button to a header on a specific page? Or do I bite the bullet and look to outsource this task?

    2. Even if I get round to adding in a filter button, I still then need this button to take me to a separate ‘filter options’ page and then allow users to filter posts by values – again is this plausible?

Having spent several hours already browsing through WordPress guides I’m feeling a little daunted and would be great to hear if people have done something like before?

    Any advice is welcomed, thanks!
