# directory change ekk.. please help

 * Ok it says in codex for changing the root directory of wordpress that you copy
   index.php and .htacess. I cannot find a folder that is .htacess. Is there another
   name for it, or am i missing the boat. Thanks

 * It is a file named .htaccess and you may not have one if you aren’t using pretty
   permalinks or else [you cannot see it with your ftp program](http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions#Unhide_the_hidden_files).
