  • Hi, I have problem with code page. My MySQL database runs in iso-8859-2, the index page is also in iso-8859-2, but when I post any article in WordPress, it’s saved with question marks instead of some Slavonic characters.
How can I repair this? How WordPress encodes the extended characters?

  • Since you didn’t provide a link to you page, we can only guess at the problem, not diagnose it.
Have you checked that index.php indeed produces ISO-8859-2? You presumably have set this encoding in the Options admin screen, right? You enter your characters manually, or copy and paste from an editor set to 8859-2?

The index.php produces ISO-8859-2, this code page is also set in the Options screen. I enter the characters manually in Post screen.
