 * Updated to 3.9.1 and now see only code in edit window.
    Unable to see how photos
   will post etc. Loved the look of the SMITH real time editing that the update 
   boasted…. HELP please!!!

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder and wp-
   config.php & root .htaccess files – from a **fresh** download of WordPress. Make
   sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new
   ones.

 * Just tried de activating all plugins and still only see code in edit window.
   
   should I reactivate now?

 * OK found the culprit. It seems either the update to 3.9.1 or a mistake on my 
   part caused a box to be checked in ‘users’…your profile…visual editor…disable
   box was checked.
    Simple!!! I did all the uninstalls, re-installed wordpress 
   and uploaded all files again before my hosting company was able to discover it
   was just a checked box!!!
