    I love the plugin, there’s just one feature I can’t get to work. I’ve read the other posts on templates and although they’ve been resolved, I can’t get them working for myself. I have very little coding knowledge. It just keeps displaying posts in the current order:
    A A
    B C
    D D
    E F
    etc

    There are large blank spaced on either side of the browser.

    What am I doing wrong? I haven’t touched any settings or code apart from set the tiles to display random posts (which works great).

    I am using Twenty-Thirteen theme and all of my images are 700×350 pixels.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Okay, (I feel like such a newb)

    I have it displaying in the correct order – I lowered the small_screen_width in wp-tiles settings … BUT…

    Now everything is displaying very small. How do I get rid of the blank spaces on either side of the page (I’ve tried using bigger images but that doesn’t resolve the template issue)?

    Hi bennis1980

    As far as I know, the images that are generated should fill the available space – do you have a link to your site ?

    Hi Bennis,

    WP Tiles always tries to fill up it’s parent container. Ie. the element that holds the tiles. In twentythirteen, the max-width of the main column is 604px, to optimize legibility. See this snippet from twentythirteens style.css (line 972):

    .entry-header, .entry-content, .entry-summary, .entry-meta {
        margin: 0px auto;
        max-width: 604px;
        width: 100%;
    }

    To make the tiles fill all available space, you can either make a Page Template or add some custom css to your (child) theme, making the entry-content div wider.

    If you want only the tiles page to be wider, use a page template, if you want everything to be wider, add the width to custom css.

    Let me know if it works out!
