Code Insertion works half and breaks buddypress SWA page

    What ?: Error msg: OOps, une erreur est survenue, merci de renouveler votre demande.

    Impossible to add some code from group admin page. I can only add snippet through forum answers.

    Backslashes don’t show up in code when directly inserted into forum post, even when removing the filter bp_get_the_topic_post_content’, ‘stripslashes_deep’

    It breaks also the SWA page, activity page posts answers don’t no more show up when the plugin is activated. This occured also when using your trick described here:

    The code output is Ok, but the SWA page isn’t. (since BP 1.2.8)

    Thanks Dan 4 your feedback. I’ll look at the troubles you’ve mentioned.
    As i’ve said into my post i advise you not to use bp code snippets + the functions.php trick. It’s one or the other, not both.

    I’ll post a more detailed reply here soon.

    hello Dan,

    I ran some tests on WP 3.2.1 + BP 1.2.9, on my config : only BP and BP Code Snippets are activated.

    1. i didn’t manage to get the error message (Oops, something went wrong…)
    2. I don’t understand what you mean by “add some code from group admin page”, as in group admin page, you can only play with the settings of the group, if you wanted to say “impossible to add a language to highlight : for example php and js”, i just checked, it’s working.
    3. I also checked the “add a snippet to forum topic” functionality : it worked. As you can see on this picture backslashes are also working
    4. BP Code Snippets doesn’t seem to break the SWA as you can see on this another picture.

    What is sure is that the plugin is filtering the activity just before saving it if and only if the status is ‘new_blog_post’, ‘new_forum_post’ or ‘new_forum_topic’ and the options to add snippet in blog posts and/or forum posts are activated in Code Snippets Manager (backend), i think other plugins can also filter activities… maybe a conflict between bp code snippets and another plugin i don’t have on my config…
    To get rid of this behavior, you can do as i explain on my blog…
