Support » Fixing WordPress » Code in page

  • I have recently been asked to work on a site that got infected by malware I don’t know much about wordpress however I removed the malware but now the site is having issues with showing all the code on the page. It isn’t standard html code either it looks more like this below:

    [section padding="5px 0"][one_third][teaser][headline type="h2" title="..."]
words that should be on the page[whitespace height="10"]
    [button link="..." size="medium" margin="10px 0 0 0" target="_self" icon="none" color="alternative-2"]
    Find Out More[/button][/teaser][/one_third][one_third]
    [teaser][headline type="h2" title="..."]

If you could help me in getting the code to stop displaying and layout the page how it should and what exactly this code works with it would be much appreciated.

Have you resolved the issue as your thread was posted over 6 months ago?

It looks like short codes from a plugin eg. Visual Composer (I can’t be certain which one).

Can you try changing the editor view from your page/post from visual to code editor so you can see what content is sitting on the page?
