[Resolved] code for post thuumbnails on front page to be clickable

    @mizmichele

    I had posted for help, someone answered with a curt one sentence comment to post a paste bin and links and then disappeared. Weird and strange – so I resolved that I thought I would post this.

    I am using a theme called CoverWP.

    All of my images link to the article except the ones on the front page. I have a static page that shows post from a number of categories.

    When you mouse over the photo a pop up shows up with the file name, I want it to go to the permalink.

    This was the original line

    the_post_thumbnail(array($width,$height), array(‘alt’ => $title));

    I changed it to:

    ?><a” href=”<?php the_permalink(); ?>”><?php the_post_thumbnail(array($width,$height), array(‘alt’ => $title));?><?php

    and I didn’t get a parse error but the post thumbnails still don’t link.

    Is there something else I can try? It’s driving me crazy.

    Thanks,
