Code blocks still inserting spaces

  • Tried searching but no joy.
Whenever I try to insert a code block, I still get some processing from somewhere. I’m trying to have a codeblock with the php preamble, like <?php this_is_php(); ?>. When I do this, WP inserts a space between the < and the ?.
I’m trying to get a beautifier working, but even just this seems impossible right now. How is adding that space? Textile is off.

  • Here is an example.

I am having the same problems, it’s really annoying; even using a code formatter plugin doesn’t help, WordPress won’t leave code alone even if it’s:

    1. embedded in code tags
    2. embedded in pre tags
    3. embedded in code tags provided by a code-formatter plugin

    Any solutions? ^^

    Regards,
    Matthias
