I have been searching the site for an answer before I decided to ask, but I cannot find a solution. I run a site on photo site on WordPress as well, and whenever I share a post on Facebook, it puts code on Facebook.

Is there a way to stop it from doing this? I just migrated from one server to another, and it only happened once I changed servers. Unfortunately, to my knowledge I thought everything was set up exactly the same, so I don’t know what changed to show text.

The site I’m referencing is ctacrush.com. If you take a post and try to share it on Facebook, you get a bunch of coding.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It’s pulling that from the comments form – it’s the text that would tell people what code they can use in their comments (looks like it’s hidden in your theme).

It’s probably because your posts don’t seem to have text in them, and there’s nothing in the code that specifies text Facebook should use.

One fix would be to use some kind of SEO plugin that lets you set a description for each post. Another would be to add some HTML in your theme header to do the same automatically, maybe pulling from the post title if you’re never going to have text in the posts themselves.

Thank you very much. Maybe I will just try adding some text also. Just repeating what the post is or something. I really appreciate your help.
