Support » Plugin: WP Facebook Open Graph protocol » Code added to RSS2 feed

This plugin is adding a header to my RSS feeds. I isolated the problem to this plugin by turning all plugins off and enabling one by one.

When logged as an admin the RSS feed ( includes the whole WordPress header (admin bar) at the top. When not logged in (using an Incognito window) it shows a “Generated in [x] seconds.” html comment and an empty div tag.

Both breaks the feed since they are added before the XML header, preventing it from validating.

Any clue as to what may be causing this?

Again, I already checked the other plugins. Problems appear when enabling this one.

Hey Jose – I’m looking at your site and a few others and I can’t see the same thing happening.. Not discrediting your discovery but I just can’t see anything that you’re talking about.

also view source on (pretty big site that uses the plugin) and I can’t find “generated” or any header bar info there either.

Could it be a theme thing?

Sorry man I just can’t replicate this…. I’ll keep it open for now but lmk if you can help me track it down.

Thats because I disabled the plugin. Check it now:

Disabling the plugin fixes it… so I guess its a problem with the plugin.

The header bar code is shown only when I’m logged.

I’m assuming you’re still turning things on and off but.. my plugin isn’t on right now…
two different plugins are putting in og: tags… “Jetpack Open Graph Tags” & “Open Graph Tags”.

With those two installed I can see your feed is messed up with an empty div tag

    <div style="display:none">

I also notice you have NEXTgen gallery active… they’ve been having some BIG problems with 3.6 so maybe look into that.

As far as I can tell this isn’t a problem with my plugin.

Good luck tracking it down man.

PS: use something like to check your feed to make sure it’s all good when you figure it out.
