 * Hi Backwpup Team,
 * with the last Version 3.8.0 some of our websites go down with: Code 500: Internal
   Server Error. We activated WP Auto-Updates and the website has damaged itself
   during the update. There were also installation rests of the plugin in the “upgrade/”
   folders.
 * So far we had no problems with your plugin.
 * The websites were hosted by different providers (1&1, HE, Strato).
    Wordpress
   has also not sent any email that there is a problem with the website.
 * Maybe the plugin has become too large in files and size?
 * (!) In one case the automatic plugin update was started during a running backup.
   Is this even possible?
 * thx and best
    Michael

 * Hello [@miku0010](https://wordpress.org/support/users/miku0010/)
    The plugin
   still has the same size as the previous version ( about 4mb zip file), so I think
   there should be no issue with the file size. I think there is another issue,
   as you said: **(!) In one case the automatic plugin update was started during
   a running backup. Is this even possible?** Yes that totally possible, because
   the plugin update handle by WordPress, so it can lead to a fatal error when BackWPUp
   still running and WordPress does automatically update.

 * So it depends on the time of the backup.
    That concerns many Plugins.
 * Is there a WP-Database flag/var in WordPress that is set “true” when plugins “
   do their things”, so that WordPress doesn’t start internal core or plugin updates?
 * Could you (or the Inpsyde GmbH) report this problem to WordPress as developer?
 * Thanks a lot!
    Michael
