Aw OK, to be honest, I have no idea what could cause that issue as I do not use any special functions to play with content editors in CMP.
Since I do not own wpbakery page builder then the only thing I can do is contact their support if they are able to clarify few things.
Could you provide a screenshot where the VC is missing so I can forward it to them?

I checked their knowledge base for developers, but here is no word about required compatibility/incompatibility coding practice neither.
I would like to help you more, but I am worried you must register a ticket by yourself to them – I can be an assistance if they ask for some technical stuff tho.

but this can be a huge problem for you as vc is used by 10000s of sites (but it might just happen only in specific senarios)
i have vc license through a themeforest theme so i might not be able to ask them
