• On our website (http://www.karelstegemantoernooi.nl/) I am trying to add a link in the club name of every team. I’ve noticed the “URL” field on the club pages. However, whenever I fill out a url nothing appears in the standing table.

    How can I fix this?

    Kind regards,
    Lars

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Lars!

Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry for the trouble.

My name is Roch and I’m going to help you with your support issues.

I’ve tried to reach that URL but it didn’t work. Is your site working fine there?

    Thanks!

    Hi Roch,

The url works fine for me!? 😉 Thanks for your quick reply!

    Hi Lars

It works now. yesterday I was getting a 502 error.

Anyway, back to your issue. I can see here that you are using a custom theme, but I’m not sure where exactly you want to add your club links. Do you want to add it in your main menu?

    Thanks!

Hi Roch, on the top left of the homepage you can find 2 standing tables (groep a / groep b or group a and group b). I would like to make the club names active links towards the url that has been entered on the club page.

    Hi Lars!

Oh, I see what you mean now 🙂

It looks like you are using a league table there, is it in a shortcode? What happens when you briefly switch to the default theme (rookie or twenty sixteen)?

The link should work in that element if it’s a shortcode or widget.

    Thanks!

    Hi Roch,

That is right. I’m using the default shortcode: [team_standings 3890]. When switching to the default theme the links don’t work either.

    Hi!

I’m not familiar with this shortcode. Is it being added by some custom code?

We do have a similar shortcode for the league tables:
    http://support.themeboy.com/article/107-league-table-shortcode

There you have the linking option (link_posts = 1)

    Thanks!

you are right! It works now. However, I am using a multi language website. Your plugin allows me to enter 1 club site url (in which I enter a custom page). How can I make sure that the url in the front end always links to the page in the right language? (I can’t fill out a site url for every language).

    (@rochesterj)

    Hi!

    That’s great, I’m glad it’s working now.

As for the languages, that depends on your plugin setup. Some plugins save via cookies the current language so it’ll redirect automatically, but I recommend you getting in touch with the plugin authors for more information on that.

    Thanks!
