Support » Plugin: Genesis Club Lite » Club lite and WordPress SEO both activated gives problem

  • Hi,
I had problems with getting logged in in the backend of my website. After a quick search I found out that the problem was the WordPress SEO plugin from Yoast. But as soon as I switched themes the problem was over. So I looked further and found out it was the combination of WordPress SEO and Genesis Club Lite. When they are both activated I get a 500 server error on the backend. The frontend of the website stays online. I deactivate WordPress SEO till I have a solution. Hope you can help out.
    With regards
    Karin

    Katootje,

    Thanks for reporting this.

Please confirm you have the latest version of Genesis Club Lite v1.16 which was about 2 weeks ago.

Genesis Club Lite supplements some SEO functionality alongside both the Yoast SEO and SEO framework plugins.

It may be the latest update to Yoast SEO has caused an incompatibility. I will check it out today and then get back to you and issue a fix if required

Hi Russell, all plugins are updated. But I found out that the server of my client is running php 5.3.10. Don’t know if that may cause any problem. Reported it to my client and told him to upgrade to a newer version of php. Waiting for his respons. Meanwhile I try to find out on which other website I have the combi of both plugins running to see if they cause any problem there. Keep you informed

Which page in the back-end is causing the problem?

I am running Genesis Club Lite 1.16 and Yoast SEO 3.3.2 and do not see any problems on the GCL or SEO settings pages, or on the Post/Page Editor pages apart from one issue in the GCL SEO Thesis tab (a name change).

I will get out a fix for this later today, but would like to track down if anything else is awry

He Russell I get a 500 server error on the complet backend.. /wp-admin. That’s why someone suggested that maybe it can be due to the older php version. 5.3.10 is running on that server. Hope to have information about a possibility to update to a newer PHP version.

PHP 5.3.10 was released 2nd Feb 2012 however it still should be supported

However you are recommended to use PHP 5.6 or later

    Quoting from Requirements
To run WordPress we recommend your host supports:

    PHP version 5.6 or greater
MySQL version 5.6 or greater OR MariaDB version 10.0 or greater
