I am using Cloudflare, yet Wordfence gives me a message that I have misconfigured settings by selecting the Cloudflare option for IP address collection. This site is running on litespeed server. Should I leave as is, or switch to let Wordfence select proper option. It “looks like” Wordfences isn’t recognizing that Cloudflare is being used. Thanks much for your advice.

    Hi @dskirk,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please accept our apologies for the delayed response.

From the description, looks like you have already set the CF-Connecting-IP HTTP Header value in Wordfence > All Options > General Wordfence Options > How does Wordfence get IPs.

It would be worth confirming that the IP address is being detected correctly by making sure the IP detected under that section matches your public IP as shown on https://www.whatsmyip.com.

If the IP address matches, please dismiss this notification. Otherwise, please cycle through the options on the IP detection screen and check whether any of the IP detection options detects the correct IP address as shown on https://www.whatsmyip.com

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Janet

Thanks for writing back. It took almost a week, but yesterday afternoon, Wordfence removed its warning message. But thanks for the tip on how to confirm this in the future. Much appreciated.
