• I use W3 and Cloudflare. I activated the CF extension, and I am able to save my credentials. However, when I select my security level to match the level in CF (Medium) and also Minification to CSS, JAVA, and HTML….after hitting save…..the page refreshes, but the these two settings always revert back to “Essentially off” and “Off”, respectively.

Why am I unable to get these settings to stick?

  • I remember an old bug in w3tc that acted in a similar way to how you described it. The folks at w3-total-cached-fixed pushed a fix for this which was incorporated into the official w3tc 0.9.7. But it now sounds like CloudFlare may have changed something else again that has broken it again (ie, confusing “on” and “off” for a different option).

This is just a guess though. It might also be that CloudFlare is blocking the changing of those options for some reason…meaning their APIs no longer allow the editing of those options — at least without first changing a CF option to permit it.

Thanks for the reply. I’m sure it is something similar to the other problem that you mentioned.

It would be super if somebody from W3 would actually reply, however. Does anybody from the team monitor these forums?

We’ve tried to reproduce the issue, but we were unable to find a bug. If you have pro version, please submit a bug report in Performance => Support and we’ll take a look for you in your system if you provide login credentials.
