    Hello,

I have set 69.46.36.0 to 69.46.36.32 as allowed in Cloudflare, however, I continue to have issues starting a wordfence scan – have also completed all the troubleshooting steps. Admin area is blocked by cloudlfare with exception to admin-ajax.php. This should not affect anything anyway as Wordfence IP range is allowed.

I have verified that the scan does work if I turn Cloudflare proxy off – any ideas on what I’m missing in Cloudflare?
    Hosting is with Cloudways BTW.

Hmmm, strangely enough, I have just disabled ‘starting all scans remotely’ (after having turn it on to try and fix the issues in the first place), and the scan is now working.
Maybe there were some extra tweaks to Cloudflare in between that did the trick.

Hello @daz0894 and thanks for reaching out!

Glad you could figure it out! If you go to Tools > Diagnostic > Connectivity, are you seeing any issues here?

Sometimes with Cloudflare the IP detection has to be set accordingly. To double-check your IP detection is correct, first, check the following site and take note of your IP – (note that this detection can sometimes not be 100% accurate on cellular phone network connections): https://www.whatsmyip.org.

Then, head over to your site and go to Wordfence > All Options > General Wordfence Options > How does Wordfence get IPs and reference the area under that section that says Detected IPs and Your IP with this setting. Start from the top and check to see if any of the settings show that both of those show the same IP as the site above does.

If you’re using Cloudflare, you will most likely need to select “Use the Cloudflare “CF-Connecting-IP” HTTP header to get a visitor IP. Only use if you’re using Cloudflare.”.

Let me know if this helps!

    Thanks!
