# Close on save

 * Are there any solutions out there that do exactly what the Lightbulb Save-and-
   Close plugin does, but are maintained, esp for WordPress 5+? I see this question
   has come up a few times and the only direction has been to that plugin. There
   is another plugin (Improved Save Button) that renders too many options and is
   not customizable.

 * However, Lightbulb `Save-and-Close` plugin hasn’t been updated for over 8 years.
   probably nobody is there at this plugin’s [dedicated support](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/lightbulb-save-and-close/)
   to respond to your question. But You may try the plugin developer’s website:

 * The second plugin you mentioned (`Improved Save Button`) also hasn’t been updated
   for about 9 months, but still better than 8 years as in the case of the first
   plugin! So, try asking there at [https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/improved-save-button/](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/improved-save-button/)
   and hope someone responds.
