Cloned Sites Not Working

    Hi,

    Trying to use the plugin on a new multi site network (use it successfully on another build) – but it isn’t working this time.

    I can clone the site – it runs through the process but when completed the newly cloned site doesn’t work and trying to visit the new site dashboard returns a 404.

    Please advise.

    Was the first installation (that is working correctly) a subdirectory or subsite multisite installation?

    Also, what type (subsite or subdirectory) of multisite is the second installation (that isn’t working correctly)?

    Hello,

    I have the same problem. I figured out it only works when you enter the website adress in the format : http://www.example.com/subdirectory/ ; example.com/subdirectory/ or http://example.com/subdirectory/ does not work.

    Usually 404 errors on subsites of Multisite (especially in subdirectory mode) are related to incorrect DNS, wp-config.php, or .htaccess problems. It’s critical to painstakingly follow the guidance here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

    A misconfigured multisite network is likely to have the same problems with or without the Cloner. But, the Cloner will also expose configuration problems that you might not otherwise run into.
