• I purchased the Music Pro wordpress theme for my music website. Features on dashboard:

    Add new release, view all
    Add new review, view all
    Add new item, view store

What I would like to do is “Clone” the store post type to another wordpress site so that I can add video games for sell.

    How can I do this?

  • You need to contact the company you purchased the theme from for support.

I’m refering to Appearance> Editor in the admin dashboard. Not settings specific to this individual theme.

I just want to port these settings into a different theme. Contacting them would not help me in my efforts as the theme I’m actually editing is found on wordpress.

But you’re asking to copy functionality that is specific to your theme, and for us to support your theme we’d have to purchase it

Okay, thanks for the help I thought it was just as simple as to copy specific files or the other theme. It is basically just a post with custom fields that post to a specific page.

Let’s think outside the box. Maybe I asked the wrong question. Is there anyway to copy the custom fields of a specific post type to another post type? Basically creating a similar post type?

I’ve known that ability to exist if the post type is created through a plugin; a custom post type plugin. Was it do you know?

No it was a pre-built post type. I could solve this issue if you know a way to add paypal custom fields to a specific post type, this way it is displayed only when I create a store item. I’ve used the custom types plugin to create the post type. Now I just need to add custom fields functionality to mimic the post type of my other site.

A screenshot a took of the feature I’m trying to duplicate.

There are plugins for easily creating custom fields. I’ve used Advanced Custom Fields as an example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/

Okay, I’ll give it a go. I’ll update the status of my issue here. this way if anyone has the same problem they will have a definite solution.
