• I run a Web Design/Development business. I just wanted to know: am I allowed to charge someone for designing and setting up their website if it’s built using WordPress, or am I legally prohibited from doing so?

    Thanks….
(Sorry if this is in the wrong section)

Yes I’m allowed or yes I’m prohibited from doing so?
Is there somewhere on the wordpress site where it goes into detail concerning issues like this?

The bottom line is: you cannot charge them for WP per se, but of course, you can charge them for designing a theme or for the services to set up, maintain etc.
(When you download the WP package – you have the license included. Read it.)

    Thanks.

And yeah, I’ll be charging for the process of setting up hosting, domain, site, etc, not any actual software/products that I use…

    Cheers
