clicking poster’s name brings “post not found”

  • i am using mod_rewrite and i find that when i click on a poster’s name in a comment, it brings up a “no posts met that criteria”.
i notice when i hover over the link to the poster’s name it reads
    /title-of-the-post-cut-off
basically, the link is a cut-off version of the permalink of the post.
    very strange… any explanation?

  • clicking the author of a comment’s name should take you to the URI they provided in the form… or am i misunderstanding your question?

hmm …. perhaps they entered it as a partial URI in the form, and since i am a moron and didn’t know that, it wasn’t apparent.
    my blog is still new.
although i did have to shrink my trackback uri’s recently to get them to fit with firefox!
someone must not have known what the uri was for…
and i didnt know that the poster’s name revealed a URI =)
