Support » Plugin: Connections Business Directory » Clicking on a directory entry gives me an Oops!

  • Resolved tpraisner

I’ve just installed version 9.0.2 of the Connections plugin on a clean WordPress installation with no other plugins installed. I followed the installation instructions. I created a page called “Directory” with the [connections] shortcode on it and made that page the directory page under Settings->General

I added a category and made it the default and then I added an entry for John Smith via the “Add Entry” page.

When I go to the Directory page, the entry I added is there. When I click on the entry it sends me to:

    <my domainname>/index.php/directory/name/john-smith/

The result is: “Oops! That page can’t be found.”

I’ve searched the support forum and don’t see a similar issue.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble! To fox…

Please navigate to the WordPress Permalinks admin page and remove the index.php from the permalink structure. That will make your permalinks compatible with Connections and make your links more SEO friendly.

I hope this helps, please let me know.

Yes, that fixes it. Thank you!
