• Hi,

I’m using the nggallery galery with AJAX navigation enabled. After clicking on a navigation button, the mouse cursor is set to I for the whole page, even for links. It will return to normal only after reloading the site. Is there a bug in the AJAX code?

@tiku – We’re not seeing this on our test sites, can you provide a link to the specific gallery where you are seeing this?

Hmm, this problem seems to exist with Firefox only. It happens with Firefox 36, WordPress 4.1.1 and the Twenty Twelve theme. I did not check other themes.
If you still cannot reproduce it, let me know. In this case I’ll make my test site reachable by you.

@tiku – I would suspect we will need to see this first-hand on your site to get a better idea what could be happening.

    Thanks!

@tiku – Unfortunately I cannot read the text of the screen captures but they appear to be of various views from your computer and not of the website so I am not understanding their relevance to the problem at hand.

Can you point to a specific page or post on your website where you are seeing the problem?

    Thanks!

    Cais,

Either I don’t understand what you are expecting from me or you don’t understand what I’m telling you. 🙂

The link that I posted links to a sample gallery which demonstrates the problem. Open it in Firefox 36 and click on one of the navigation buttons below the images. (1, 2, next page). After the click move the mouse over one of the various links on the page. The mouse cursor will remain an I-beam. It won’t change to the pointing hand that is the usual mouse cursor for links. Then reload the website by pressing F5 and move the mouse over one of the links. Now it will be the usual pointing hand.

The images in the gallery are just there to have a gallery.

@tiku – My apologies … I can now see what you are referring to. This does appear to be a FireFox only issue as it is not apparent in other browsers.

Fortunately I am not seeing any thing “breaking” so we will look into this but I cannot say exactly when it will be sorted out at the moment.

    – Cais.
