Support » Fixing WordPress » Clicked on upgrade to new version & all disappeared

  • WordPress instructed on the main editing page to upgrade to a new version. I clicked on the link and waited for it to resolve. The next time I checked everything disappeared and now I can’t access anything. I don’t know what the first steps are to pull it back up. Do I go to my ISP to help or is this a fix I can do?

  • If you can’t see anything, then yes, you will probably have to go to your host. … Do you have access to your files on the server, such as through Cpanel?

Also, I don’t know if this will help or not, but you might try going to the upgrade file manually. Try typing in the following in the address bar and see if anything comes up:

Of course if you have your blog in different directory, then you will need to add that into the address.

I’ve been having the same problem. When I try to sign in to the dashboard, blank screen. I tried trivum’s advice, and it said I didn’t need to upgrade and to click continue. When I did, the screen was blank. I can get into cpanel, but not the dashboard.
My hosting account says it’s a wordpress problem. Any other suggestions? I’m really nervous to do a manual upgrade; never done one, and can’t get into the dashboard to disable plugins or anythiing.

Still looking for help with Both the site and the dashboard are blank. I checked php files, not that I know what I’m doing, but saw nothing obvious. Any suggestions?
