I’m probably missing something, but hoping it’s possible to make images in a slideshow clickable, each linking to their “media page.” (This works in regular galleries; but when I display them in a slideshow, they’re not clickable anymore.)

    If it’s possible, how?

    Thanks!

That is by design – slideshow images cannot be clicked to their respective media pages. The only type of linking you get is on the lightboxes, not in slideshows.

This has more to do with how the script that I use for slideshows is built (Lightslider). My understanding is that the script was built this way to handle features like “pause on hover” in mobiles. As mobiles don’t have a “mouse hovering” capability, the click simulates a hover.

Thanks, that makes sense. I’ve also tried links in lightboxes without success. Might I be missing a parameter? I can only get my lightbox clicks just advance to the next gallery image.

I have main_size='full' so right-click and “Open in new tab” provides access to the image. But I am hoping a click will do it.

Thanks for any further guidance you might be able to offer. If none, thanks for a cool plugin!

I would need a URL to help with this.

I need a URL for this as well. My hunch is that you are using LightGallery as your lightbox, in which case you might have to set Photonic → Settings → Generic Options → Lightboxes → Transition speed to something like 10.

    Thanks for taking a look!

I’ve tried many Lightboxes, but right now I’m using “Image Lightbox.” Here’s a sample page:

(Because the site is under development, I’ll re-password protect it after hearing from you.)

I am not seeing any layout there that uses lightboxes – which one should I be looking at?

    The top layout.

The style of the lightbox I see when clicking one of the images changes every time I select a different “Inbuilt Lightbox librar[y]” to use on https://{mysite}/wp-admin/admin.php?page=photonic-options-manager

I am able to go through all 10 photos – it doesn’t get stuck after 3 photos.

And when I click on the title at the bottom of the lightbox, it takes me to the page with the photo.

    I didn’t get stuck either.

But – ouch! – what I didn’t know was that to get the click-through, I had to click AT THE BOTTOM of the lightbox!

Sorry about that, and thank YOU for helping!
