Hi, it seems that google udpated google tags, so this plugin does not get their events send do analytics. Do you know something about that?

    Hi! The site is https://transformadoresboston.com.br/pt/pagina-inicial/

But I fixed the problem by removing Site Kit auto code insert and pasting it by myself.

So the site above is not presenting the issue now. My concern is that I have auto updates in several websites, which may lead to broke events counting.

    Thank you for your attention.

Thank you for the clear message.

We really appreciate you taking the time to share the details so clearly. It helps us understand the situation much better.

We’ll make try to replicate the issue on our end and analyze it thoroughly to identify the root cause.

Once we’ve confirmed the fix, we’ll include it in the next version release to ensure this doesn’t affect other websites with auto updates.

    Have a nice day

From what I understand, events that were previously sent directly to GA4 by the plugin are no longer sent if the site is using GTM tag. Now, the event must be sent from the plugin to GTM and then from GTM to GA4. To make it work like before, you would need to remove GTM tag from the site and add the GA4 tag directly.

    Hi,

Thank you so much for the messages.

Yes, we’ve noticed that when Google Analytics is installed through Google Tag Manager (GTM), the automatic event tracking doesn’t trigger directly. However, the Click to Chat plugin already sends event data to GTM using the Data Layer — so we can use that to pass events to Google Analytics.

    https://holithemes.com/plugins/click-to-chat/create-event-from-google-tag-manager-using-datalayer-send-to-google-analytics/

By default, the Click to Chat plugin automatically pushes event details to Google Tag Manager (GTM) using the Data Layer.

AT GTM event name is: Click to Chat

To send these events to Google Analytics (GA4) through GTM:

    1. Create a New Tag
      • Go to Tags → New → Tag Configuration → Google Analytics: GA4 Event
      • Under Configuration Tag, select your existing GA4 configuration or create a new one by entering your Measurement ID (your Google Analytics ID).
      • In the Event Name field, you can enter a name like click_to_chat or reuse the same event name Click to Chat for consistency.
    2. Add a Custom Trigger
      • In the Triggering section, click + (Add New Trigger) → choose Custom Event.
      • Set the Event Name to: Click to Chat
      • Under This trigger fires on, select Some Custom Events.
      • Add a condition set like {{Event}} contains Click to Chat

    Save and publish the container.

    Have a nice day,
    Thank you
