    I just got his from my server manager. IS there a new plugin to fix the issue?

    It is all Cleantalk installations?

    Just to let you know, the plugin below, running under the above website, is making hundreds of requests per minute to update itself:

    /public_html/wp-content/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect
    It was putting huge load on the server, so we’ve renamed the plugin to ‘cleantalk-spam-protect1’ to stop it working. This appears to be a recently discovered fault in this plugin and going by this thread it seems the plugin needs to be updated – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-keeps-calling-spbc_remote_call_token-hundreds-of-times-a-second/

    Hello @alantomkins

    We’ve fixed the issue.

    Please udpate the plugin to 5.160.1 version.
    https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/cleantalk-spam-protect.5.160.1.zip

    1. Go to the WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
    2. Find the plugin “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
    3. After the automatic page refresh, find the plugin again “Spam Protection by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
    5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
    4. Download the plugin archive from the link above.
    6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

    Why is it not showing as an UPATE? I use ManageWP so I want to be able to update from there. I have 15 site with you and I don’t want to do every one manually.

    You’ll be able to update the 5.160.1 version automatically within a few hours.
