    Hello @manhattancenters,

    Please follow the steps below:
    1) Clear all cache on your site.

    2) Check for any errors in the browser’s developer console (F12) or provide us with a screenshot.

    3) Deactivate the CleanTalk plugin with the Complete Deactivation option:
WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced Settings —> enable “Complete Deactivation” —> Save Changes.
Plugins —> Installed plugins —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Deactivate and Activate

This option will reset all plugin settings. Don’t forget to insert your access key.

    Did it help?

These are the errors shown in developer tools : errors – looks like your server is not delivering what it should.

I am not doing #3 until I hear back from you.

You can see this for yourself at:

And it’s not just this site. Every site where I have Cleantalk installed, it shows the same error in the browser console.

Okay, so this ticket was caused by SiteGround. They implemented some sort of Mod_Sec that they say was causing the issue. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Glad to hear that you managed to find the cause of the issue.

Let us know if you have questions.

I’m experiencing the same issue. Did Siteground resolve the issue for You?

@diyboss, yes they did correct it. There is no way to self fix in SiteTools. Kind of stupid for a great place like SiteGround. I guess they’re getting bombarded from bots but that does not excuse putting blocks like this in especially when they don’t say anything to their customers about it.

Also have this same issue where links in the CleanTalk settings not working and images not loading. Site is with Siteground. Do I need to do something or is it all at Siteground’s end of things and its being sorted.

Still having the issue right now. And still having the issue with random numbers/textboxes appearing as mentioned on the other support thread (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/random-numbers-showing-on-product-pages/) – and that also is Siteground related?

    Hello @asy1mpo,

Please contact SiteGround to disable Mod_Sec for your websites to fix the issue for now. This should fix both issues.

    Thank you.

I have just enabled the CleanTalk plugin and the settings page in admin seems fine now. No missing images, can click on links. I did NOT contact Siteground about it so assume either you and/or Siteground did something to solve the issue.

    Hello @asy1mpo,

We’ve contacted Siteground and they are currently investigating this issue. We’ve not received feedback from them yet, but probably they’ve fixed the issue on their end.

    Thank you.

SiteGround support has informed us that they have resolved the issue on their side.
