The changelog for the version released within the past 12 hours, 6.79, has a line as in the subject. Does that mean that the backup/migration files stored on the server will be limited to an age of 24 hours and all older files automatically deleted?
If so, that’s a terrible idea! It almost completely removes the safety net that this plugin has provided for backups. It requires downloading the backup file essentially everytime that it is created. Please recognize that this is not always an option. For example, a webmaster may be managing the account from a mobile device without access to local storage for >24 hours.
Also, why even do this? It does not seem to be anything affecting the plugin’s functionality, only the amount of storage space used on the server. That’s really the concern of the user, who can always go into the file area and delete older, no longer needed files.
If I have misunderstood your changelog, please clarify!
    thanks,
    Jack

    Hi Jack,

It is refreshing to see people asking questions about the changelog.

The cleanup removes only failed export/imports from a storage folder inside the plugin itself. It will not touch the backups in ai1wm-backups folder.

In very rare cases that we have yet to determine the reason, the plugin will not delete temporary files when export or import have failed. This change will clean these files as they are not useful and only take additional space on the server.
