Support » Plugin: Clean Login » [clean-login-restore] pointing to the old url

When I first tried configuring [clean-login-restore] on the site I put the shortcode on the same page as the [clean-login] shortcode. Apparently this was a mistake. I’ve since then created a separate page for password reset with the [clean-login-restore] but the Clean-Login settings still show the password restore page url as the same url as the main login page…is there somewhere I can force this to update?

I’ve already resaved both pages involved and updated permalinks which has not fixed the issue.

Hi, are the pages from the Clean Login setting page (on the top) pointing correctly? It’s quite strange since you resave them.

In that top section, the [clean-login] page is pointing correctly. The [clean-login-restore] is pointing to the wrong page there.

Could you please resave (update) the page which contains the restore shortcut?

I’ve tried resaving that restore page already. Even if I delete the restore page entirely the Lost Password link still shows on the main login page and points to that same page. I tried disabling and deleting the Clean-Login add-in which made no change either. At this point I think I will need to generate a new htaccess file since updating permalinks doesn’t seem to do anything for this add-in.

Try also in the WordPress hidden settings page ./wp-admin/options.php You can also modify the URL there manually.

I looked through options.php and did not find “clean” or “restore” anywhere in the file. Can you point me toward the line I am looking for in that file?

Side note – the date modified on options.php is from a year ago so I’m not sure how it would have a url I just changed yesterday.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Clean Login’s fields are prefixed with cl_, just use your browser finder tool to figure it up where it is.

I searched options.php for cl_ and found nothing. There are several other files in the same area called options-permalinks.php, options-media.php, etc. that I searched and did not find cl_. These files are all located in the wp-admin folder. Are there any other files I should be searching for these settings?

I copied the site having the clean-login issues to another word press site so I could disable other plug-ins to determine any conflicts and even after disabling everything but Cornerstone my clean-login plugin does not update the links. I have even deleted (not just trashed) both pages that had clean-login shortcode and the clean-login settings still show pointers to the pages that aren’t even there.

How do I completely clean out the clean-login settings and reinstall the plug-in?
