I’ve just set up a brand new WordPress installation to test this after I encountered the same issue on WordPress 3.7.1 and 4.0.1.

I have a WordPress 4.1.1 installation with no previous data and no other plugins installed. I enabled the WP Security Audit Log plugin. I then create a new post as an administrator and publish it.

No events are reported in the audit log viewer. This is with default settings, supposedly logging all events. Page events are also not logged.

Moving these test posts to the trash did produce a logged event.

I also tried to create posts with an Editor user, this did not get logged. However the creation of the Editor was logged.

Are there any known issues with version 1.5.0 of the security audit log plugin?

    Many Thanks,
    Matt

    HI,

Thank you for showing interest in our plugin. Most probably the issue you are encountered is related to the database (we currently have an issue and will be releasing a fix later on today). In fact can you please confirm if the plugin tables have been created in the database during installation?

    wp_wsal_occurences
    wp_wsal_metadata
    wp_wsal_options

If not can you please try deactivating the plugin and activating it again and let me know if it works?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We identified an issue where the plugin does not generate any alerts even though the database tables are created. We will be issuing an update today, 1.5.1 which addresses such issue.

Please stay tuned with us and update to the latest version as soon as it is released and keep us posted.

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Hi,

Thanks for the responses. The database tables were created by the plugin for me.

1.5.1 is good news! I look forward to trying it out.

    Many thanks,
    Matt
