Clean install, no backup (?folder) possibility

Hi,

I use this plugin on a number of websites. it’s a very good one, thanks for that.
I just installed the new Worpress. Clean install. After that I installed this plugin. no other plugs installed yet. From scratch it will not backup the database of htaccess file.

I tried changing wp-content to 777… And it worked, but, that’s not really a safe option. Your plugin Filesystem security/ File Permissions requires the rights: 755…
After adjusting this, the database backup gives an error;
>> DB Backup failed. Please check the permissions of the backup directory.
What am i doing wrong?
