Simple CSV/XLS Exporter does exactly what it is supposed to do: exporting specified content to CSV or XLS files. Nicely embedded into the dashboard, works right out of the box, no annoying limitations to force users to buy any premium version. I couldn’t find any negative thing.
You’re very welcome, your plugin fully deserves five stars 🙂
Still, there are a few minor bugs in it. I hope you don’t mind if I point them out; I in no way want to come over as arrogant or something.
I’ve made a small list which contains some bugs and improper coding standards. You can find here:
Again, they’re just minor issues, your plugin works perfectly as is. But in case you’d like to improve it, you could fix some code issues.
I don’t know how you take this, but as a plugin author, I always wanted to work with someone else on a plugin. Can you imagine to make me a co-author so I can fix and clean up your great plugin? If yes, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I don’t mind at all, I am aware that the code is a bit of a battle ground 🙂
It has come out of custom project and customization, so in order to make it available to everybody I had to strip and normalize parts… but I didn’t have the time to make it pretty.
I can add you to the GitHub repo if you would like, sso we can streamline the process.
Would you like to make improvements as well, besides the clean up?
That’d be cool. I certainly could add some improvements, but I haven’t played around with your plugin enough yet to tell you what to improve. Do you have anything in mind? What work should be done?
My GitHub username is thaikolja.
@shambix: You can add me if you like. My username is thaikolja and was registered with the email address kolja.nolte AT gmail.com. Do you need anything else?
