• Hi,

We just upgraded to V 3.0.1. Your docs don’t mention needing to have Gutenberg in use in order to use this version but we can’t use any of the features using the classic editor. Is there any way to use the classic editor with the latest version, without having to downgrade?

    Thanks.

Hi @tovamoskowitz thanks for reaching out.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience, we’ll update the plugin’s description for v3.0.0 onwards.

Gutenberg is not needed for this plugin to work (although the styles of the admin page might look a little off), but we’re moving away from our legacy poll editor. If it helps in any way, creating a poll from app.crowdsignal.com com is as easy and the shortcode can be crafted with the poll ID (that shows on the address bar), like [crowdsignal poll=XXXX] (XXXX would be the poll ID). You can also get it on the “Share” section of the poll for the slider option.

Otherwise, we’d recommend downgrading to the latest 2.x version of the plugin. We don’t have a schedule for it, but it will eventually become deprecated as we can’t maintain the editor anymore.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your quick response!

When you say that Gutenberg is not needed for the plugin to work, is there a different menu item or link that should be used instead of the current CrowdSignal one? Because when we try to use that menu item as usual, it references finding a Poll Block in the editor, which we do not have as we are using the classic editor. We upgraded to the new plugin version in order to have the ability to use this plugin directly in the admin, so if there’s a way to use this 3.0.1 version and not have to downgrade, that would be great.

    Thanks!
