• Having downloaded Adventure Journal & Coraline themes to my ZyXEL NSA310 NAS, these themes do not work. I checked-out the directories unnder ‘themes’ and, although I am a novice, the content looked ok. When rendering the theme in a browser IE8 or Chrome, the source is abruptly terminated as follows:

……
/* */
wordtube = {
ajaxurl: “/pkg/WordPress/wp-content/plugins/wordtube/lib/statistic.php”
}
/* */

<meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 2.7″ />

<body

And there is nothing else!! Any ideas?

• Try deactivating all of your plugins.

lol… try upgrading wordpress!

version 2.7.1????

Not many themes or plugins coming out of the repo these days will be compatible I wouldn’t think!

Thanks. I tried de-activating but there were some that did not have a de-activate option (such as backup-WP). Just to be sure, I moved all the directories under WordPress/plugins into a temp directory and then re-tried. This had no effect IE8 still only shows …

…when I navigate to the website.

I then moved all the plug-in directories back to their original location and they all now show as Inactive. I tried the WP Classic Theme and the site works and then re-tried Coraline and it still fails. :(.

PHP-MySQL V1.0 and WordPress V2.7

I have read tha description for that theme, it includes many features that are new to WP since version 2.7

I really do think you would need to upgrade WP before using that theme, or most themes.

default and classic were WP themes made for WP as of version 2.7, they do not even come with WP anymore. So many things have changed

Thanks for your response. The NSA310 that I am hosting WP on is an appliance that delivered the wordpress version automatically when I asked for it on the administrators page. I am taking this issue up with ZyXEL to see how I can install a newer version.

see how I can install a newer version.

THat would be best if possible. That version is just so out of date, that nothing much will be compatible with it any more.

Aside from that, there have been several important and essential security updates since then.
