Clarification on Users registering

    Just a general question on how MS register users.

    User register on main site -> Becomes a user on mainsite (choice of getting a site or just username

    User register via sub site -> Becomes a user on mainsite AND subsite

    So when a user register via a sub site, it does not necessarily mean he would only be registered on the sub site? Rather that he/she becomes a user of the network having the ability to comment everywhere.

    Correct?

    The user registers on the main site only. He then must be *added* to the sub site unless you’re using a plugin to help you do that.

    Rather that he/she becomes a user of the network having the ability to comment everywhere.

    Correct.

    It works exactly the same as it does on wordpress.com.
