Circles on alternate page (2 posts)

Love the theme—I'm a pastor in France, using it for a personal webpage to communicate to both French and English speakers. As such, I'd like to create an "alternate home page"—that is, a normal page, but with permanent circles linking to more pages (not posts) that won't appear in the menu on the top.

    So I have 2 questions:

    1) How can I add permanent circles to a page other than Home?
    2) How can I create a page that does not appear in the menu?

Bear in mind, I'm a beginner. I learn fast, but I just started this a couple days ago.

Thanks for your help, and thanks Caroline for the fantastic theme!

    Glad you're enjoying it!

    1) You can create a custom page template that displays content in the same style. Use a browser addon like Firebug to Inspect your site to see how the circles are formed, then write your HTML and code in a similar way such that it looks like the home page, but links to the Pages you want.

Others have also tweaked the theme to display Pages in the circles instead of Posts:

    2) You can create a Custom Menu under Appearance -> Menus, then assign it to the primary menu area of the theme. This allows you to pick and choose which pages to display.
