Choosing language takes me to blank page, how to change?

    Hi,

    I have default English and then French language options in the menu.

    When I click the french language in the menu, it takes me to co.uk/fr/
    but there’s no content there, the menu changes to French and everything else works fine. If I choose the English option it takes me to the English homepage.

    How can I make it so when I choose the French language, it takes me to the French home page I’ve made, please? Or force change the link it takes me too?

    I have used a redirect plugin for now but would like to do this properly and avoid extra plugins
