Choosing Color Values For Grooved Border

  • How do I enter the CSS code on my child theme for two colors of my choice for a grooved border?

    What I have now

    body {
        border-top: 15px groove #488237;

    I only chose one of the colors on my border, the darker color; I’m not sure what determined the choice of the lighter color. I’d like to be able to enter both color codes. Thank you for your help.

    Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS troubleshooting. Or use whatever developer tool is available in your web browser.

    I am using Firebug; that’s how I was able to find out what the css was for this. But it doesn’t reveal what’s controlling the second color. The only thing that shows up is what I pasted above. This is where I’m stuck. There must be another way write this style to choose the colors… I think. I’ve been searching CSS tutorials and haven’t found it though.
