Choice + Ad Inserter Plugin

Blocking ads until consent a user has given consent. See the “How to show ads based on visitors’ consent?” section in their help documentation here. Showing you how to whitelist consent cookies such as the Google Advertising Products Cookie (euconsent-v2[vendor][consents][755]=1) and you also have to Make sure you have Dynamic blocks set to client-side insert – TCF v2.0 based cookie needs to be checked client-side (in the browser).

* If you are still seeing 1.1 errors, you may also need to whitelist euconsent-v2[purpose][consents][1]=1 to check for Purpose one consent as well.

Note: Ad Inserter has added some specific guidance related to Quantcast Choice on their help page, but any instructions pertaining to TCF v2.0 on should also be relevant for Quantcast Choice as we are a TCF v2.0 compliant CMP.

Please make sure you have attempted to follow the blocking instructions provided by Ad Inserter (see above) before reporting Google 2.1a and 1.1 errors here.

@spacetime update dissapeared from WordPress, can’t update it again 😉

We uploaded the old plugin version, clenaed cache again and the new version doesn´t appear at wordpress, mayb you can help 🙂

It seems you have issues with wordpress.

But don’t update it.
Delete it and then install it.

@rbaronqc Well, if vendors are not turned back on, that would cause 1.1 error, no?
Google, as a vendor, is not allowed under consent or legitimate interest.
Error 2.1a, I don’t see how I get these.
Error 5.1, same.

Can we at least get info on what can cause these errors? Someone of us could be experimented with, to nail the issues for others, so we can share some knowledge and fix issues, plugins, code, or whatever can possibly cause these errors.

By the looking at my earnings, these errors are coming from both EU and non EU visitors.

@cvrle77 If a Google tag is added to the site when there was no Google consent, yes that would cause a 1.1 error. However, it is my understanding that Ad Inserter is checking for Google consent (both purpose 1 and google) before adding the google tag as long as it is configured correctly. So even if you click agree, Ad Inserter is reading from the consent string (which is still false) and no ads should be added to the page.

I did a check of this website brzikolaci.com and regardless of my consent Choices I see ads (which will throw 2.1a and 1.1 errors). Can you confirm you are using the latest version of the Ad Inserter plugin, as there was a new version released today. Could you also confirm that you have things configured with the latest recommendations from Ad Inserter (This was also updated when the newest plugin was released) https://adinserter.pro/faq/gdpr-compliance-cookies-consent

Good morning @rbaronqc, something very strange has happened to us on the Adsense platform today. We went like every morning to download the error file, thinking that all of them had disappeared after working side by side with Ad Inserter developer, but there where errors (didn’t expect them today), and here there is the strange thing, it continues to show us the same 2.1a errors, but dated August 23, now the downloaded file is dated today August 25. Seems to be an Adsense problem, not Ad Inserter Problem.

So, can’t be sure if Adsense checked this past night or just created the same file as 23rd of august, but with differente date (25th).

Maybe tomorrow 🙂 will refresh, don’t know, as we didn’t expect this type of file today.

I don’t know if this happened to someone else?

Note: I ask yesterday but I ask again today, does anyone know what are those Unknown errors mean (Desconocido), as there isn’t any website associated to them?

One more thing, i’ve checked the file from 24th of august and yes, seems that Google Adsense is some days behind, as the errors from 24th file are from 22nd of august.

I’ve installed plugin Choice, entered my tag code.
Enable Choice TCF v2.0 – Yes
Push IAB & Non-IAB consent data to the Data Layer -Yes
Automatically add footer CCPA message – Manually place footer div
Added <div id=”choice-footer-msg”></div> through Ad Inserter Footer code

In Privacy tab, I’ve checked GDPR, latest 11, Serbia, Only users in EEA or UK, Your site only, I define my legal basis (everything checked/consent) Google Vendors/show partners ON.

In Ad Inserter Pro, latest update, using latest configuration.
Added GTM code in header and footer via Ad Inserter Header and Footer HTML code.
Added <div id=”choice-footer-msg”></div> under GTM code in footer, in Ad Inserter.

Created both websites
Imported and changed variables per instructions. https://help.quantcast.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051794134 (without any nonIAB vendors, still trying to figure this part, for Facebook especially, not sure which ones do I even need) Containers published.

Did I skipped anything? Did I do something wrong?

Regarding the issue you’ve seen, I saw that sometimes form is not even loading, and ads are loaded. Next time, I’ve browsed, same country through TunnelBear, form was there, and everything was good. Issues like that were random, with same settings. I’ve also seen reverse effect of what you wrote. I click on agree, and there’s no ads at all. I could surf 100s of pages, click 100 times on agree, nothing happens. I am testing with incognito window, through TunnelBear – Germany.

Also, If I try to access my web pages from Serbia, where no forms are loaded for consent, I am getting errors https://i.imgur.com/FwidkCm.png and all ads are loaded, including autoads.
