Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » chock-full of marketing.

  • yoast promounces more what’s incorrect in a post, thus helping the author to write near perfect copy for SEO. Unfortunately, this also means that the different warnings and alerts can confuse the author and finally lead him to give up. I am aware that various options can be disabled to make the look and feel of yoast more easy on the eyes (and nerves), but still, a simpler interface and less “buy more form yoast” pressure would help as well. At this point I am using yoast untul my licence runs out in November, at which time I might consider buying a simpler tool.

    Hi @manni65929,

    Thanks for your comment.

Yoast SEO analyzes the content of your post, performs multiple SEO and readability checks and provides you with valuable feedback on different optimization areas that will help you improve your post.

We perfectly understand that sometimes it may be difficult to fix all the red and orange warnings returned by the plugin. In fact, we don’t recommend trying to get all the bullets green all the time as we discussed in this article. So, if the overall score of the post is green and you still have two or three orange/red bullets, it’s fine to just ignore the warnings if you don’t think fixing them it will really improve your post or be beneficial to your readers. We always recommend using common sense when optimizing.

As you correctly pointed out, it’s also possible to disable both SEO and readability analysis entirely on the site or per user. You’ll find more information in this KB article.

    Thanks!
