    Hi Mark,
finaly it seems that i found a theme which i like and hopefully will use a longer time than in the past. But i have one thing that bothers me.

Me header picture is more yellow and the search bar as well. Most of the post are in deep orange thats not looking so nice. Any chance that i can set up just white as a default colour?

if you like have a look on my site and see what i mean

Hi @analog-native. I’m glad you figured out part of what was going on. I’d like to post a clarification of what you’re seeing so you and others in the future fully understand it.

The post color is set by the Post Format. This is different from a standard Category, as Post Formats are the same on all WordPress sites and are intended to describe what the post is (e.g. gallery, image, link, status update, etc.). The Twenty Thirteen theme on which this theme is based changes more than just the color depending on the Post Format. In some cases, it adds an icon, hides the title, or changes the font size.

Therefore, you really shouldn’t change a posts Post Format only to change the color (this could cause problems with future theme switches as well). Instead, you should change the colors themselves.

Lucky for us, due to the popularity of Twenty Thirteen, there are two plugins that do this (if you can’t write your own CSS):

I just tested both of these and they seem to work like a charm!
