    Hi,
thanks for that little handy plugin – love it!
I’ve seen that your plugin is setting the file wp-config.php to CHMOD 666.
Is that OK? Shouldn’t it be 444 or 644?

    Best regards
    Ralf

    Hi @ralfm

    Thanks for the feedback 🙂

Yes, it’s OK. Actually, WordPress itself set the same CHMOD while it’s creating the wp-config.php file from the sample config file. It’s in wp-admin/setup-config.php

I love the plugin. My only request would be to make it so that I can choose what file permissions are assigned to wp-config.php. Currently, I use a cron job to change it back to 640 after the daily salt shaker run.

Thanks @jonesre for the feedback. Currently, I’m following what WordPress itself is doing here https://github.com/WordPress/WordPress/blob/4.5.3/wp-admin/setup-config.php#L393

But I will add maybe an option or filter to allow users to set their own permissions.
